Erik the Red
Erik the Red is a 7 year old cat with “issues” -he has megaesophagus, a condition that requires a soft food diet -he is cat aggressive, requiring him to be an only cat -he is dying for attention, but unfortunately will give frequent bites (not usually hard) with any interaction; he doesn’t like to be petted, yet craves the attention… -he is clumsy; currently he is being evaluated for a neuromuscular condition. You might say WOW- Why would I want to take this cat in? The answer – because of who he is. Erik is a cat with a charm all his own; he absolutely radiates personality. He will stomp into a room and look at you as if to say “THERE you are – I’ve been LOOKING for you…” Erik loves to play, and loves to be in the middle of everything; at a recent foster home, he met every visitor at the door, and sat in the middle of every gathering. When he is watching for you, and you say Hi Erik, he will sit straight up and give a silent meow, bobbing his head like a little jack-in-the-box. And he purrs nonstop, a deep throaty purr. Plus – he is litterbox perfect! Due to his cat aggression and special diet needs, Erik cannot be loose in a shelter with other cats. He is due to be confined to a very small and isolated area, and Purrfect Pals is willing to do anything to help get him into a home. All medical, food, and grooming expenses will be covered for life at Purrfect Pals for that special person willing to give him a chance at a real life. Please – will you help Erik? Contact Nancy for more info nwahl@netzero.net or 360-691-5494 – and THANK YOU!
