Volunteer Job: Purrfect Pals Ambassador


Location Off-site informational and special events. These events can be located all over the Puget Sound region. Examples include The Evergreen State Fair in Monroe and the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival.

Purpose To interact with the public, explain our mission and educate people about the importance of spaying/neutering their companion animals and other pet-related information.

Requirements This position requires a high level of public interaction and is best suited for individuals with a positive and outgoing personality. Great communication skills are necessary.

Duties
• Set up table or booth with Purrfect Pals informational brochures, flyers, banner etc.
• At times, also set up portable cat cages or carriers for cats or kittens on display only. * At non-adoption events, interested parties may fill out an adoption questionnaire and place a cat on hold for future adoption.
• Answer questions about Purrfect Pals, explain our mission, location and adoption partner facilities.
• Educate the public about the importance of spaying/neutering their companion animal, the benefits of having indoor-only cats and other pet-related issues
• Distribute volunteer brochures, explain your volunteer position and help recruit new volunteers
• Help break down booth or table display for return to Purrfect Pals
