Volunteer Job: Holiday Hero
Location At the Arlington Shelter, area supermarkets, and our offsite adoption facilities such as PETsMART in Lynnwood.
Purpose To help staff around the holidays by filling in for absentee staff, organizing food drives and volunteering as Santa and his helpers at area PetsMart stores.
Duties
• Organize a food drive for cat/kitten food at your local supermarket
• Participate in the Issaquah, Lynnwood, Burlington, Woodinville, Tukwila or Aurora PetsMart “Santa Claws” charitable fundraising event in December. Three volunteers are needed for each event: One to dress up as Santa, another to be Santa’s helper, and the third as the photographer. Purrfect Pals receives 50% of the total proceeds from the holiday photos taken.
• Help shelter staff in general duties during holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving.
