An adoption sanctuary for cats that have tested positive for FIV is located right inside our main shelter building.Purrfect Pals learned long ago that FIV is not a death sentence, but a manageable illness, and cats suffering with FIV can lead long and health lives. We opened FIV-Land in early 2006 specifically to highlight these special cats and encourage people to adopt them. And what a success it's been! In the first full year of operations, Purrfect Pals adopted almost 60 FIV+ cats.FIV-Land is a wonderful, bright, happy place where FIV+ can roam, stretch, and play. It's also a favorite place for volunteers to visit and play with kitties.
